Abstract Chickens Bridge to Ethereum Ahead of Shutdown

Abstract Chickens Migration

Abstract Chickens, an NFT game developed by Yuga Labs’ 0xQuit, has opened its bridge to Ethereum earlier than expected, providing holders of the 3,333 eggs an opportunity to hatch them before the Abstract network shuts down on December 15.

As of November 4, the project's dashboard reported that 285 chickens, approximately 8.6% of the total collection, have successfully transitioned to Ethereum, with 3,048 eggs remaining on the Abstract network. To hatch an egg, holders must burn it on Abstract, and upon completion, a randomized chicken artwork is minted on Ethereum, along with a payout of ETH.

The payout structure incentivizes migration, increasing as more chickens leave the Abstract network, with the last chicken receiving half of the remaining ETH in the pool. Eggs left on the Abstract network after the shutdown will be permanently lost.

Currently, trading activity remains focused on the Abstract platform. OpenSea reports an egg floor price of 0.0388 ETH, while Ethereum has seen only six sales totaling 0.2103 ETH, with the latest transactions occurring around 0.030 ETH.
