Overview of Axie Vibeathon
Sky Mavis has wrapped up its inaugural AI-enabled hackathon, the Axie Vibeathon, where 402 builders collaborated to create 90 games. These games are now available for play through the Vibeathon's Game Hub.
Judging and Game Features
While judging details have not yet been released, up to eight games will receive extra support in the next phase of the Vibeathon, which is expected to be disclosed soon. The judging criteria will prioritize the Axie Core concept, which includes the class and body parts of each Axie, accounting for 35% of the total score, while gameplay will contribute 25%.
Game Variety and Community Feedback
The games showcase a variety of genres, heavily influenced by Axie Infinity's strategic combat theme, with nearly half featuring some form of combat mechanics. Other genres include racing, cozy games, and even shooters. Notably, only 11 games required the use of a Ronin wallet or allowed players to use their Axie NFTs, as blockchain elements were optional in the hackathon.
Community feedback has indicated that the top five games have received 40% of the positive responses, with Lunacia Command leading with 36 likes. Other popular titles include Angry Axies, Axie Infinity: Tactics, Axie: Lost Bonds, and Axie Royale.
