MapleStory N Adjusts NFT Item Recharge Rates in Halloween Update

The October 14 patch for MapleStory N introduces new Halloween events and significantly reduces the recharge rates for Equipment and Outfit NFT items by approximately 50%. This adjustment is part of an effort to balance the supply and demand of these items.

Halloween Update Details

MapleStory Universe has launched its Halloween update for MapleStory N, effective October 14. This update not only brings festive events but also implements significant changes to the game's NFT item system. Most Equipment and Outfit NFT items will see their recharge rates halved, aiming to create a more balanced item distribution.

Recharge Rate Reductions

The periodic recharge for NFT items has been reduced by about 50% across various reward sources, with the exception of NESO, Power Crystal, Florin, Nodestone, coupons, Special Skill Ring Chests, and items with unlimited periodic recharge. Specifically:

  • Field Rewards, Content Raffles, and Exchange Shop Raffles will be affected.
  • Coins from Lotus and Damien (Normal) drop 52%, while those from Lucid and Will (Normal) decrease by 44%.
  • Players should note that any NFT items already recharged will not be affected by these new rates.

Mu Lung Dojo Overhaul

The Mu Lung Dojo has been revamped to feature a world-integrated ranking system, replacing the previous setup that had separate boards for each world. The weekly reset for rankings will now occur on Thursdays at 00:00 UTC, and players aiming for top ranks will need to complete the dojo again to set new records.

Class Balancing Updates

The update also includes adjustments to six classes: Night Lord, Pathfinder, Night Walker, Dual Blade, Arch Mage (Fire/Poison), and Aran. These changes are intended to enhance combat efficiency, particularly in boss battles, with specific skill cooldowns and damage outputs being modified.

Upcoming Halloween Events

From October 15 to 28, players can participate in Hallowkitty's Candy Party, which provides buffs and rewards. Additionally, special weekend events will run from October 17 to November 8, offering gift boxes and other rewards. Players can also earn Halloween Mystery Tickets that can be traded for exclusive in-game items.
