MFL's Arena Mode Launches for All Players on October 27 with New Currency

Starting October 27 at 2 PM CET, MFL's Arena mode will be available to all players without the need for codes or invites. The update introduces a new currency, Gems, aimed at enhancing player progression and improving matchmaking.

Launch Details

MFL's Arena mode will officially launch on October 27 at 2 PM CET, allowing all players to participate without any prerequisites such as codes or a waiting list. Players can quickly set up their clubs and jump into their first matches.

Feedback-Driven Improvements

Following three weeks of beta testing, the developers have made significant adjustments based on player feedback. A common concern was that new managers faced stalled progression after initial success. To address this, the developers have implemented three key changes: a new currency (Gems), enhanced progression mechanics, and improved matchmaking.

Introducing Gems Currency

Gems are a new currency exclusive to Arena mode, allowing for increased rewards early in the game. For instance, a new manager can earn over 350 Gems in their first week by playing 10 matches and logging in daily, which is a significant increase compared to previous earnings in the beta. Players can utilize Gems to purchase Arena packs and boosts, with potential weekly earnings reaching 780 Gems, excluding bonuses.

Matchmaking and Season Start

To ensure fair competition, matchmaking will now consider the strength of a player's starting XI alongside their rank for the first 30 matches each season. Additionally, the time between matches has been reduced from five minutes to one minute. Season 1 will start with all players in Amateur III, and the ladder will reset, providing a fresh start for everyone.
