Starstone Studios has unveiled its high-fantasy trading card game, Starstone, on the Enjin Blockchain. Currently in Early Access, the game can be played for free on Steam and features ranked matchmaking and cross-platform multiplayer capabilities.

Gameplay Mechanics

In Starstone, players create decks of creatures to defend against the Devourant, who aim to consume the Starstone that has crashed into Earth. The game introduces a unique mining and evolution mechanic, allowing players to gather resources directly from the Mine, thus eliminating the common issue of poor starting hands seen in other card games. Players collect Elemental Shards to evolve creatures, set traps, and enhance equipment synergies.

Integration with Enjin

The web version of Starstone, accessible at starstone.game, integrates with Enjin NFTs, offering players in-game gifts and the ability to summon creature companions. Players can connect their Enjin Wallet, where a read-only scan identifies supported NFTs, granting associated rewards without locking them in the wallet. The game aims to emphasize a player-driven economy, allowing the minting and trading of creatures and items as NFTs on the Enjin Blockchain.

Future Developments

Starstone's development roadmap includes the introduction of a creature-battling RPG and new content for the Steam version, such as a Roguelike Adventure Mode. Additionally, the studio has plans to enhance the game with fresh cards, modes, and seasonal challenges. Enjin is integral to Starstone's ecosystem, with existing NFT collections expected to play a significant role in gameplay.

Community Engagement
